Magic Ice Museum is the collaboration of technology and architecture to create first Ice Museum in a temperate climate with an average temperature of +23 outside, a 750 m² exhibition space with -10 degree had to be created.
Nature elements such as ice, snow, fjord and mountain have been our inspiration in the design of the project. So the walls in the project are made up of organic forms. This movement has shaped a soft architecture that is compatible with human action. The design is also based on Viking and Norwegian themes.
In the circular form foyer 1, the ice-contact is processed. The theme was emphasized by a glass ice image on the floor, a barisol illumination that tells about the northern lights that occur at certain times of the year. The walls are painted with ice cream paint.
The mountains in Lofoten, a Norwegian town, are integrated with the transfer of real photographs to the walls in foyer 2.
In foyer 3, the Norwegian landscapes are now covered with magnificent forests. The place is covered with different wooden constructions such as floor, wall and ceiling.
There is also a cinema hall for sightseeing on short tours. As soon as they see a demonstration film, there is a magical space where they will be able to find themselves. After collecting the special coat, you enter into the exhibition hall you are shuttled through an ice tunnel.
One inside you are greated by a dark atmosphere only illuminated by the ice sculptures such as a ren deer, a polar beer, an iglo, a Viking house and a Viking ship just to name but a few. At the end of the exhibition you may receive a vitamin drink in an ice glass.
